Joe Jonas dumps Demi Lovato!

They looked so cute together!

Jemi is history now as Joe Jonas from the Jonas Brothers and his Camp Rock co-star Demi Lovato have ended their relationship.

The young couple confirmed the split saying it was amicable and they remained friends.

Just like with Taylor Swift in 2008, Joe broke up with the girl.

Demi and I knew going into our romantic relationship may not be an easy one. I realize over the time we have shared together that I feel I care more about our friendship right now. It was my choice to break up but I love her as a friend,” Joe said in his statement for People. “She’s been there for me when I needed her. I will continue to be her friend and be there for her.”

Later in the day Demi took to her Twitter to address the split thing. She said:

Firstly, Joe and I did split but it wasn’t over the phone. Things didn’t work out but we’ll remain friends. Secondly, I am NOT dating anybody already.

When the break-up news just surfaced, the rumor had it Joe asked his dad to deal with the split and tell Demi that they were no longer together. The insider dispelled the rumor to ZackTaylor.ca:

They spoke face-to-face… He didn’t get his father to do anything! Joe just wanted to calm things down for a bit and was very open and honest with Demi… It was getting too serious, too quickly for him. They still love each other, and everything will hopefully settle down soon and they will give it another try.”

Parting ways personally, the two are still together professionally touring the country this summer and fall to support their new Disney movie Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.
