Confirmed: Heidi Klum and Seal are Getting Divorced!

Dispiriting news come from Hollywood today… Respectable celebrity couple Heidi Klum and Seal are splitting up, with the Project Runway hostess filing divorce papers ‘as early as next week’ citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the break up. Both Heidi Klum and Seal have confirmed the end of their seven-year marriage in a joint statement today. Actually, rumors popped up on Saturday that the pair were to divorce amid claims the supermodel was fed up with her husband’s ‘hard partying’. But in an official statement this morning, Heidi and Seal blamed their split on ‘growing apart‘. So sad… The couple who are usually the image of togetherness and famed for their romantic gestures, including renewing their wedding vows on their wedding anniversary used to be often pictured spending quality time with their four children… And it’s splitting up..

The statement reads:

While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition.”

We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”

Seal has tweeted:

The message was attached to a pic that shows his forearm bearing an imprint of a set of wings – a probable reference to Heidi’s role as a Victoria’s Secret Angel.

And last week Seal visited London to pre-record his performance on Jonathan Ross’ show, which was aired on Saturday night.

Seal was seen arriving at LAX on Friday, while Heidi was last seen at the Golden Globes on January 15, which she attended alone… Only in December the couple seemed to be happy while having holiday in Aspen, Colorado. Heidi tweeted her pic with Seal and the following message:

Sun and Snow and @Seal”.

Heidi Klum and Seal got married in Mexico seven years ago and have three biological children, Henry Günther, 6, Johan Riley, 5, and Lou, 2, together. Klum had her fourth child, Leni, 7, whose dad is a celebrity hairstylist Ric Pipino and Seal eventually adopted Leni.

Today, Monday 23rd January: Heidi and Seal confirm they are separating, saying in a joint statement they have ‘grown apart’
