Mother Monster has a new title: Twitter Queen! Lady Gaga has busted social media records today by earning her 25 millionth follower on Twitter, making her the most followed person in the entire world. That’s about 2.5 million more than her closest competitor, Canadian superteen and greaser Boyfriend Justin Bieber.

Lady Gaga affirmed her status as the World’s Most Followed Tweeter by crossing the 25 million threshold.

Mother Monster tweeted:

#25milliontweetymonsters wow! I’m officially feeling like the luckiest girl in the world today. Last sold out show in Singapore in 2 hrs! “

Gaga is one of eight pop stars in the top ten most followed people on Twitter, with Barack Obama and Kim Kardashian and Oprah Winfrey making up the final two. The singer was also the first person to reach the milestones of 10, 15 and 20 million followers respectively on the social networking site.

News of her latest breakthrough came on the heels of her decision to cancel the Indonesian leg of her Born This Way tour in the face of threats from Muslim hardliners. She used Twitter to apologize to fans, saying:

We had to cancel the concert in Indonesia. I’m so very sorry to the fans & just as devastated as you if not more. You are everything to me.”
