Snoop Dogg’s C.L.O.U.T – no drugs, no crime
Snoop Dogg teamed up with entertainer Tommy the Clown to launch his own foundation to help keep at-risk youngsters off the streets.
C.L.O.U.T. Foundation (Changing Lives One Youth at a Time) will focus on keeping young people from turning to drugs and crime that city streets are infamous for, ICYDK.com reported.
Snoop Dogg revealed that it was his high school teacher who inspired him to create his own youth organization:
As a youth I had one teacher who really pushed me to be the best and gave me an outlet to really feel like I could be somebody – and I became successful partly because of his belief in me,” the rapper said. “I want to give that to the kids so they know there is more to life than the street hustle or crime. I have been friends with Tommy the Clown for years and see what he has done for so many people; this partnership is very important to me.”
As a part of his involvement with C.L.O.U.T. Snoop plans to hold a Battle Night, where local students can take the stage to show off their poetry, dance or drama skills. The event will be held monthly in LA.
Good luck Snoop!
