Miller & Longoria fight illiteracy with UNICEF
It’s always great to dress up for a worthwhile cause.
British actress Sienna Miller, Eva Longoria Parker, Susan Sarandon, and Marcia Cross are a few of the 12 actresses who dressed as their favorite book characters to pose for Montblanc’s Signature for Good campaign that’s, in conjunction with UNICEF, helping to raise funds to combat illiteracy.
The photoshoot is published in Hello magazine.
I think that books have probably been my biggest inspiration. I remember reading CS Lewis’ Narnia series as a child and the imagination I found in those pages probably led me to do what I do for a living,” Sienna said in the interview.
Every actress had a range of characters to choose from and a range for dresses to pose in. Sienna Miller dressed up as Natasha Rostova from Leo Tolstoy’s War And Peace, wearing a simple Zac Posen grey number.
Eva Longoria in a fiery red Marchesa gown posed as Scarlett O’ Hara from Margaret Mitchell’s Gone With The Wind.
Emily Blunt was Gwendolyn from The Importance Of Being Earnest, and Desperate Housewife Marcia Cross was Marguerite from The Lady Of The Camellias.
All of the stars accessorized their looks with Montblanc gems.
The portraits will be unveiled two days before the Oscars to be auctioned at Paramount Studios in LA.
