Teen do idolize Miley Cyrus but parents don’t approve of her new pole dancing image of a grown up teen. AOL’s JSYK.com’s online poll showed that children aged 9 – 15 consider Miley the Worst Celebrity Influence 2009.
Cyrus should be pissed.
According to the results, 42% of the voters said Miley was no good role model for them.
I think Miley is in an interesting space where she is trying to graduate from being Hannah Montana and a Disney channel celebrity and coming into her own and having a career beyond Disney,” Stephanie Cohen, editor of JSYK.com, explained. “I think her fans still want her to be the sweet Hannah Montana and she is trying to age up…Parents are definitely resisting it.”
In the top 5 worst celebrity influences this year, Ms. Cyrus, 16, is followed by Britney Spears (#2), Kanye West, Vanessa Hudgens (I say ‘what?’) and Transformers hunk Shia Labeouf.

Miley’s major rival in the battle for Nick Jonas’s heart, Selena Gomez, 17, has been voted the Best Celebrity Influence this year. The young Disney star and youngest UNICEF Ambassador has scored 30% of the total votes.
She’s followed by country music sensation Taylor Swift with 28%.
The rest of top five best influences are Nick Jonas from Jonas Brothers (#3), Emma Watson and Canadian singer Justin Bieber.

I know miley apologized for all of those pictures but SERIOUSLY dancing on a POLE! i mean come on, she can show people shes grown but not by sliding her cooche on a pole. selena is a way better role model for kids. she knows who she is already and isnt trying to be someone else
plus she hates on people too much, LIKE THE VIDEO TALKING ABOUT DEMI’S GAP I DONT KNOW WHO SHE THINKS SHE IS BUT LAST TIME I CHECKED SHE GOT HER nasty TEETH FIXED!!!

im 17 guys.. a month younger than selena.. i put that out there so you guys dont think im some old perve. lol. Selena Gomez is PERFECT!! she is my dream girl!! haha. i like miley cyrus too.. shes really sexy and yes she has a better voice than selena but in the end.. selena gomez is perfection to me.. and i really like her acting! so like kyle said.. SELENA IS MY KIND OF WOMAN!!

ok you know what selena is wayyyyyyyy better then miley. miley is just 16 and shes danceing on a pole. she was soooooo sweet and nice…..when she was in hanna montanna know she just wants to be older then she is. she sees other celebs so she wants to do the same thing MONKEY SEE, MONKEY DO!!!! she never looks whats good in them. it looks like her parents dont care about her.i mean come on look at selenas pics and look at mileys mileys like half way naked
