Michelle Obama is World’s Most Powerful Woman 2010
America’s First Lady Michelle Obama tops Forbes’ annual list of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women 2010.
Praising Michelle, 46, for her active humanitarian work, devotion to her projects and exceptional fashion sense, the mag puts her name before other ladies in politics like Hilary Clinton and Angela Merkel (both made it to top 10 most powerful women this year).
A forceful advocate of school nutrition standards and military families’ affairs, [Michelle Obama is] more involved in policy than Laura Bush was,” Forbes said. “A fashion icon and an athletic mother of two, she’s Jackie Kennedy with a law degree from Harvard and street sense from Chicago’s South Side.”
While Michelle Obama tops the list, celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Lady GaGa, Beyoncé Knowles and Ellen DeGeneres are among the top 10 most powerful, too.
