Matt Damon makes the world a better place
This is one of the reasons why I find Matt Damon so attractive. He’s a great man with a kind heart and strong commitments.
In case you didn’t know, Damon is a well-known safe water issues advocate.
His new initiative is a non-profit organization focused on bringing access to safe water and sanitation to the developing world.
Water.org co-founded by Damon and WaterPartners executive director and co-founder Gary White is aimed to help the nearly 890 million people without safe water and the more than 2.5 billion people without safe sanitation, the organization’s official website reads.
Every 15 seconds, a child in the developing world dies from water-related disease. After visiting project sites in Africa and Asia with Gary, I’ve seen the problem and the impact of safe water,” Damon said.
Water.org is set to bring the safe water issue to new heights in the public’s consciousness introducing innovative business models, local partner development, program management, and post-development monitoring and evaluation.
For more than 20 years I’ve been working to realize the vision of global access to safe water, and with the help of our donors, staff, partner organizations, and the H2OAfrica team, I’m confident we can accelerate our impact,” said Gary White.
We all can help those less fortunate, go to www.water.org to see what you can do to help. Go charitable for the good cause.
Now I love Matt Damon even more than before. Good to realize there are people who still care despite financial crisis, and all other stuff.
Good luck, Matt!
