Madden twins join UNICEF to change the world

Joel and Benji Madden join with UNICEF

Number of celebrities on Charity and humanitarian duty is constantly growing, which is a good thing. Among those who have just recently joined up with Ambassador missions are twins Joel and Benji Madden. The Good Charlotte rockers joined with UNICEF to help with humanitarian efforts in Africa.

The guys have visited Sam Ouandja in the Central African Republic and posted their video report on the MySpace Celebrity site.

Joel turned to his generation with the following message:

I just want to say to everybody in our generation, who’s my age, or younger or a little older, all your work and all your efforts can really change the world. 25,000 children die every day due to preventable cause. Things like no clean water, sanitation, health… and those are things that we can change,” he said adding, “We’re making headway right now and we need more people to get involved, especially from our generation. We have an obligation to, so get involved.”

Madden says he works with UNICEF, because he can see the work and the money do go somewhere.

You get to see that it actually works, that it actually is helping people and it’s people who need it are getting what they need. It’s amazing.”
