Justin Timberlake who presented his William Rast collection at New York Fashion Week two days ago, covers March 2009 issue of GQ looking super-duper in the photoshoot for the cover story.

The magazine of authority honored JT with a cool title, calling him the most stylish man in America.

In his interview for the magazine Timberlake shared some of his style secrets. For instance, he said he adopted his step father’s banker style and made it his signature one.

Nobody dressed like my dad. When he worked at the bank, he looked like Richard Gere in Gigolo. And he would do it all the night before, laying out the suit he’d wear the next day. Even on weekends, if he had to go into the office, he’d wear a trouser pant with a V-neck sweater and tie. And I was like, I want to dress like that! He was just so cool.”

Being the most stylish in the US whom does he consider to be a style icon?

Kate Moss. She looks good in anything. She would look good in one of your T-shirts, in her T-shirt, in a man’s suit, in a huge gown. She looks amazing naked. She even makes nude look stylish. That, to me, is a style icon. She could put a barrel on and it would be some sort of statement.”

Justin (whom I truly and sincerely adore) tops the list that also includes DJ Mark Ronson, singers Kanye West and T.I., actor Jason Schwartzman, and GQ‘s Style Guy Glenn O’Brien among others.

P.S. Justin’s style advice is something we all should follow. It’s not exactly Justin who said it but Karl Lagerfeld but who cares anyway? So he says: “Before leaving the house, put everything on you want to, then take one thing off.”
