She’s incredible, she’s fantastic, she’s unpredictable, and she’s Madonna. She’s “the Icon, the Artist, the Woman” as Givenchy designer Ricardo Tisci has once said. And today this fantastic woman turns 50.

Madonna is often dubbed as “The Queen of Pop” and “one of the greatest pop acts of all time.” she’s been with us since 1982 and she fortunately is no way tending to retire. Madonna is ranked by the Recording Industry Association of America as the best-selling female rock artist of the twentieth century.
Guinness World Records list her as the world’s most successful female recording artist of all time and the top-earning female singer in the world, having sold over 200 million records worldwide. In March 2008 she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

So Material Girl knows how to reach her goals. She came to NY having just some bucks in her pocket and pursued a triumphant career as a singer, songwriter, dancer, record producer, film producer, film director, fashion designer, author, and actress.

All themes from sex to war, from religion to anarchy are represented in her multiple projects.
Madonna is the Mother, the Artist, and the Diva. She’s great and she’ll always be a star.
Happy birthday, Madonna!
Provocative and seductive, ‘Vogue’ video (1990) is one of my favorites.
