Heiress Hilton has already been the subject of American discussion during the run-up to the presidential election, when John McCain called his opponent Barack Obama a celebrity, just like her and Britney Spears.
This time Paris Hilton appeared at a kitchen table and in heavy make-up and all dressed up, putting herself forward as a fake-president. Charlie Sheen and his father Martin Sheen joined to help her.
Martin Sheen – “the greatest fake President”, played a Democratic US leader in the TV show The West Wing –talks about her campaign while in the kitchen at a Hollywood party. You’ve gotta see this video. It’s hilarious.
The 27-year-old said in a statement that she hopes the video, released on the website funnyordie.com, inspires people to consider the issues and vote in the real presidential election:
I hope that my political opponents take in consideration the points that I have addressed because I feel that they are important and, as well as, that my generation and the new young voters should become more involved with our current issues and speak their voice through voting. This is the most important presidential election in decades and voting is the only way that you have a voice for change.”
