Daniel Radcliffe Admitted He Never Speaks to Rupert Grint

Daniel Radcliffe’s and Rupert Grint’s relationship in real-life seems to be pretty opposite to one in the Harry Potter movies. The leading actor of Harry Potter has revealed that he rarely speaks to the red head Rupert! But he said he has warm realtionships with his female co-star Emma Watson. Radcliffe, 22, made this honest statement while giving interview to the Sunday Mirror recently. He said:

There’s this idea that Emma Watson, Rupert and myself are the best of friends who always hang out together.
I’m just going to put [it] out there – Emma and I text all the time but Rupert and I never text each other, we never see each other.”

He added:

If I see him every six months or so, it’s a friendly “Hello, how’s things with you?” But that’s about it.”

Huh, that was rather shocking news to me as a great fan of Harry Potter books and movies. I wasn’t expecting him to say they are best friends necessarily but it’s sad they don’t even speak anymore after practically growing up together – they had been working together for ten years! But on the another hand, why would they be friends? They’re only colleagues working – huh, playing the parts of friends. Just as me: I’m not chummy with all my workmates…

Though, as it touches work, Dan and Rupert seem to be very professional. They put on their best smiles at the premiere of the eighth and final Harry Potter film last summer.

Btw, Radcliffe is getting ready for the release of his first film since the Harry Potter series came to an end, The Woman In Black. Again he’s palying the main role in a film based on a novel. This is the first time he has received a role of a character older than his real-life age. He said:

It’s my first grown-up role. I’m supposed to be 24 in this. And I’ve got a son.”

The Woman In Black is very different from Harry Potter. But it’s different enough without me having to go all extreme and play a drug- dealing rent boy, or something where people go: “Oh, OK, he’s trying to shock us now.” I was simply after a good role.”

Meanwhile, Rupert and Emma are getting on with their own solo careers. Emma Watson has played a part in the recently released My Week With Marilyn, and Grint starred in music video for singer Ed Sheeran.
