Chris Martin Reveals About His Marriage
Chris Martin met Gwyneth Paltrow in 2002 backstage at a Coldplay performance and the couple married next year on 5 December. They have two children: Apple and Moses. Their daughter, Apple Blythe Alison Martin, was born on 14 May 2004 in London and their son Moses Bruce Anthony Martin was born on 8 April 2006 in NYC.
Coldplay frontman admits that he feels really lucky to be married to Gwyneth. Anthony Mason,CBS Sunday Morning host asked Martin if it was true that he’d only had ‘one serious relationship‘.
Martin answered:
That’s right. I’m in it.”
Mason underlined that the fact Martin did not have of serious relationships in the past was “pretty unusual” and told him he’d made “quite a leap.”
The musician claimed:
It’s a big leap? What, from being a loser, to going out with an Oscar winner?”
Then he added:
It’s a giant leap. Let’s face it; it’s like winning the lottery.”
Martin also told how being a father had changed his professional life:
It’s made it more focused.And you have a purpose. I like what it does. Just the idea of having to work hard so your kids are okay.”
His wife recently has shared with Elle magazine that she understands why Chris likes to keep their relationship private:
He makes music for his fans, and he doesn’t want people to conjure a lame famous couple when they’re getting into his music. I get it.”
