Brad Pitt’s main focus – architecture & charity

One more reason to love Brad Pitt.
Brad hit Spain as a part of his Make It Right project to visit the construction site of the Oscar Niemeyer International Cultural Center named after the Brazilian architect most famous for his modern architecture.
The site is situated in the industrial town of Aviles and is generally aimed at revitalizing the town to turn into a bustling, cultural landmark.
Brad is interested in supporting the project, both in cultural and architectural aspects” Aviles mayor, Pilar Varela, said. “He is interested in building with innovation, novelty. Pitt was especially interested in the aspects of the project aimed at boosting environmental sustainability. This is why Brad Pitt has came to visit the site,” she added, noting it was too soon to say how exactly the actor would participate in the project that’s to be launched in mid-2010.

Good-doing in Spain is just another thing on Brad’s plate. His main project is rebuilding New Orleans after devastating Hurricane Katrina. Brad is determined to build 150 green and affordable houses for displaced New Orleans residents.

Just wondering, if you were a New Orleans resident would you vote for Pitt to be your Mayor?

Are you kidding me? To become an architect takes countless hours. He didn’t even finish his degree in journalism, which is a far cry from architecture. He’s interested in design. Not the part that is boring, which is the part that makes architecture such an admired profession.
