Jamie Bamber from Battlestar Galactica is the latest in the row of celebs to support PETA and take part in their ad campaigns speaking out against using fur and killing animals for fur.
Bamber’s PETA ad poster surfaced last week with the already well known slogan “Bare Skin, Not Bear Skin” featured against Jamie’s bare body. [Beautiful body, by the way]
In the ad Jamie criticized killing black bears for their fur for the Queen’s Guards’ ceremonial caps.
The obvious alternative is to make caps out of faux fur. You know, use synthetic materials to avoid killing a beautiful animal. They’re not to keep warm. It’s not particularly freezing outside Buckingham Palace. You could wear something else. And you could certainly wear faux fur,” the actor said.
So who are other celebrity PETA supporters?

The first name that comes to my mind is Pamela Anderson. She’s a long time PETA proponent, and judging by her love of getting naked in public, she must enjoy making ads so much.
I love this Vegetarian ad, it’s so bright and so… cabbage

Pam’s on/off husband Tommy Lee also took part in the campaign showing off his largely tattooed body in the Ink, Not Mink ad.

Actress Alicia Silverstone was one of the first celebs to get naked for the good cause. She’s a confirmed vegetarian who promotes the idea of eating no meat and still looking hot, and so says this poster.

Actually, lots of celebs support PETA. Take Eva Mendes

Or socialite Khloe Kardashian

Or ex Girl Next Door and Playmate Holly Madison

And British pop singer Jamelia

Even Dennis Rodman, scandalous and a way too extravagant basketball player, supports PETA readily getting naked for the camera.

But if you ask me, the most decrying series of PETA ads is that featuring singer Sophie Ellis Bextor and other celebs holding dead fur-less animal bodies. Such photos make you think twice before you actually buy something made of fur.
