Amy’s parents control her money now
Vacation and reportedly drug-free lifestyle do Amy Winehouse good. At least she can now think rationally, she can now make decisions.
And one of the first sober decisions she’s made is letting her parents take control of her $21m fortune. This act is her attempt to beat drug problems as now she can’t spend a cent without her parents’ permission.
Everyone is pleased because it means Amy is listening to good advice,” a source said. “It’s still her money and nobody else can touch it. But this stops her doing anything stupid. And it is evidence that Amy is really turning her life around.”
Amy can no longer pay out profits, make payments or loans, hire staff, change bank arrangements or appoint a director without the permission of her folks. Well, it means no money for crack, alcohol and stupid crackhead friends.
Amy’s mom and dad have a lot to care about now. She’s about to get a $14m cheque for last year’s sales of her 2006 album Back To Black, thus, making her fortune even bigger.
Conservatorship worked with Britney Spears, can it work out now too?
