Amy is back in the game
Don’t give up hope on Amy Winehouse, not yet at least!
Amy made a surprise live appearance at the V Festival this weekend joining The Specials for a medley of their two songs ‘You’re Wondering Now’ and ‘Ghost Town’.
Amy looked healthy and sober performing the tunes.
Sporting her trademark bee hive and make up, Amy donned the same top as last year when her performance flopped as she looked disoriented and often forgot the words. It was completely different this time. The crowd cheered her with a thunder of applause and she sounded cool singing the tunes with the Specials:
While living in St Lucia, Amy missed the band’s reunion tour and decided to head to V to catch her favourite artists,” Winehouse’s rep told the press. “Meeting them backstage, they invited her to guest for them and made her dream come true.”
After her almost-impromptu performance with the music veterans she also joined Pete Doherty on the stage and never left till he dedicated one of his songs to her.
V Festival became Amy’s first concert appearance in the UK since a less successful outing at the same festival in 2008. Glad to see her back in the game.

Other performers at 2009 V Festival included Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Lady GaGa, Pixie Lott, McFly, Natalie Imbruglia, Lily Allen, Fatboy Slim, Oasis and many others.
