Simon Cowell is more than just the meanest man on prime-time TV, he’s also the richest, at least according to Forbes Magazine.
50 year old producer and judge of the most viewed prime time series American Idol has made impressive $75 million between June 1, 2008, and June 1, 2009 cashing in on both his shows (American Idol, America’s Got Talent) and music publishing – Leona Lewis, Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, and even Whitney Houston are all signed to Cowell’s Syco record label.

Surprisingly enough, the real-estate mogul and Apprentice’s presenter Donald Trump only came second in this big money competition.
Mogul-turned reality show host has earned an estimated $50 million last year. Still, even if Cowell comes first in prime time battle, Trump is anyway richer. He’s got skyscrapers, remember?

American Idol’s Ryan Seacrest also made it to the top 3 richest with a cool $38 million in his big pocket.
Charlie Sheen (Two And A Half Men) and Steve Carell (The Office) rounded off the top five with $21 million and $20 million, respectively.
