Andrei Archavin in semifinal

Semifinals are over. And now Spain will meet Germany in Sunday’s final in Austria. Spain beat Russia at the second semifinal yesterday scoring three goals to null. The final is gonna be tough and really nerve tickling as it will be Spain’s first encounter with Germany for the last 24 years.

Xavi Hernandez scores

So Russia is off the game but they deserve respect for being so wonderful against Holland. Under the guidance of Guus Hiddink they have managed to become one of the four strongest teams of the tournament this year.

Andrei Arshavin

Anyway, the final score was Russia 0 : Spain 3.

Spain beats Russia in semifinal

Spain beat Russia as comprehensively as they had done in Innsbruck 16 days ago. It wasn’t a very easy game, though I’m sure the Russian team are really disappointed with their performance as Andrei Arshavin failed to live up to his pre-match billing.

Spain vs Russia Euro 2008

As for Spain, this time it wasn’t David Villa and Fernando Torres to shine. Substitute Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas replaced the injured Villa and came on to take control of the midfield and lead his side to victory, creating two of the three goals.

Fabregas tries to score

“We were coping with Villa and Torres but when the striker went off and they added another midfielder, it gave them more mobility and we started to struggle,” said Russian coach Guus Hiddink. “They used their possession game to tire us and then their quality to strike”, he added.

Guus Hiddink and Akinfeyev

After Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez had opened the scoring in the 50th minute, substitute Daniel Guiza made it 2-0 in 73 minutes, before David Silva rounded off the evening with eight minutes remaining.

“Other players are performing just as well,” said Spanish coach Luis Aragones. “But together with the superb Andres Iniesta, Fabregas destroyed a Russian side who suddenly found themselves chasing the game after Xavi’s opening strike.”

It’s not that the Russian team was bad, it just wasn’t trying hard, as it seemed. Everything seemed to be doomed to fail. When Russia played Spain 16 days ago it was raining heavily, the same thing happened last night too.

Guiza scoring

It was a pity the team lost, really. Roman Pavlyuchenko again did well in attack and went closest to scoring for a Russian side whose first effort on target came in the 88th minute. He threatened twice, first with a curling effort that forced a fine save from Iker Casillas and then with a shot that drifted just wide.

Roman Pavlyuchenko in semifinal

Though the Spanish team was delighted with the victory there was some sad news for them too. David Villa injured himself taking a free-kick and he wouldn’t be able to face Germany Sunday, the coach confirmed. As some sources say, if only Aragones employs Fabregas from the start Spain will have the best possible chance to win.

Daniel Guiza scores

“Gary Lineker said you play Germany and the Germans always win,” said Aragones. “But we deserve to be champions.”

No comment necessary.

You know how much I love and adore . I’ve already accepted the fact Portugal is out of the game and I won’t see Ron play at anymore. But here comes the good news for me and for all his fans. According to The Sun, Cristiano, 23, has phoned Manchester United to say “I’ll be back” meaning he would be going straight on holiday and would return, as instructed, for pre-season training.

So far it’s been unclear whether Ronaldo goes on playing for Manchester United for the four remaining years of his contract or succumbs to a bid by Real Madrid which could reportedly earn him £180,000 a week, according to another source.

His call makes it clear Ronaldo won’t break the promise. (Isn’t he so cute?) The player was told he must be back at United three weeks from the day Portugal’s interest in ended — July 10 — and he has said he will be there.

Now Ron is holidaying with his girlfriend Nereida Gallardo in Sardinia, making soaring temperature heat with their visible affection for each other.

I am a bit jealous! brr..

Last night’s game was more than nerve-tickling. In Basel, three time winner Germany elbowed their way to the final game. They will either play Russia or Spain after the thrilling semifinal victory 3:2 over Turkey

Ugur Boral from the Turkish team scored the first goal of the game after 22 minutes, and it was followed by an equalizer Bastian Schweinsteiger less than five minutes later. That Sweinsteiger is a very strong player though has ‘not-the-best’ looks. He is either too pale, or too blonde. Both.

Ten minutes before the end, the furious Miroslav Klose scored a goal for Germany, but just then, Semih Senturk scored back.

It was Philipp Lehm, who scored in the very last minute.

German systematic game won over the Turkish will. But Turks have played their best this and can go home with their chins up.

Now the question is who wins tonight’s game. Both Russians and Spanish guys have been playing pretty hot so far.

I say, Spain wins. But we’ll see.

Russia definitely chose victory to be their style.

As they played Netherlands they defeated them 3:1 in overtime. Footie sweetie Roman Pavlyuchenko leaded in the 56th minute, but Dutch captain Ruud va Nistelrooy equalized in the 87th minute and sent the game into extra time.

In the extra time Russians scored twice. It was Dima Torbinski and Andrei Arshavin who took Russia to the semi-finals. Ultimately thanks to Arshavin’s high-flying performance.

The underdog team has beaten a group winner. Just like Portugal and Croatia, Netherlands - the group winner lost to Russia. Moreover, Guus Hiddink is a former Dutch national coach and he admitted he knew all the techniques and that helped Russia win the game.

Right after the game Russian team received a phone call from their president Dmitryi Medvedev, who joked saying he would love to give Hiddink a Russian citizenship.

Cheers, Russia!

Watch the best moment of scoring into the Dutch net by clicking the video down below.

The next opponent for Russia is Spain. This is Russia’s chance to take revenge as they lost to Spain in the previous game 4:1

It is no secret Russian team wished to play Italy instead of Spain. Italians are the 2006 Worldcup Champions, and are surprisingly weak this year. Whereas, Spain, hasn’t lost a single game since the start of ! Last night Spain beat Italy 0:0, making 4:2 during the overtime so the result can be either way. The real challenge for Russia is next Thursday.

We’ll see.

Last night was awful. It was the most upsetting game of . 3:2 Germany beat Portugal.

Manchester United’s was very upset, just as the rest of the team, Scollari, and fans. Germans played as if they rehearsed each goal. It was a tough one for the Portuguese.

Chelsea’s Michael Ballack’s ambitions turned out to be good enough to take Germany to semi-finals. He says:

Up to now, we lacked a bit of creativity. That is why we changed today and that was the key. Now, you saw what this team has when it can play freely.”

At a press conference post-defeat, my handsome announced that he is hoping to leave Manchester United to join Real Madrid:

The possibilities [of moving to Real] are great, but as I’ve always said it doesn’t depend only on me. In the next few days we will see if we can arrive at an agreement. I have many desires and in the next few days they will become clear.”

Cristiano definitely has a lot coming his way, unlike Ballack who has already reached the peak of his football career. Though, I was upset last night, I am still in love with Cristiano just have a look at his smile, his, feet, and the way he moves around as he is dressed as a pilot. Awesome ad!

On this one Cristiano talks on his game style.

Good bye for now, Portugal. Beijo.

Russia’s forward Arshavin, #10, is named the best player of UEFA, he made an outstanding performance in the game against Sweden last night winning 2:0

This means Russians have booked a game with the Dutch in the quarter-finals and, God only knows, how that game will turn out.

In the game with Spain, Russia hasn’t impressed me at all. But last night Roman Pavlyuchenko and Andrei Arshavin were both making their coach Guus Hiddink explode in blast.

By the way, I have also discovered a new footy cutie for myself. Yes, it is Roman Pavlyuchenko. The guy is cool. Arshavin is an excellent footballer but sorry, his face is too pinkish, even reddish I would say.

Watch the beautiful, perfect goal into the Swedish net made by Pavlyuchenko

Anyways, group winner Spain won Greece 2:1 last night and will now face Italy, the World Champions of 2006. The game will decide who gets to stay for semi-finals and who gets to go home.

The first game of the quarter-finals is tonight. Portugal will play Germany in a tough manner. Please, , score one goal for me! Well, the rest is up to you guys.

Beijo.

France has lost to Italy which is a double piss off after they got beaten by Italians in 2006 World Championship.

On Wednesday following the 2-0 Italians win over France . This takes the world champions into the last eight at .

Andrea Pirlo opened the scoring from the penalty spot early in the game after Eric Abidal was sent off for bringing down Luca Toni in the box.

Now they will play Spain and I don’t want them to. I have three favorite teams, Portugal, France and Spain, and they already kicked out France. It’s enough.

Italians are the most experienced team this Euro championship but the opponents are strong - Holland, Spain and Portugal. We’ll see.

Last night Netherlands beat Romania 2-0 thanks to goals from Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Robin van Persie.

The results mean Italy will go on to face Spain and Netherlands will take on either Russia or Sweden, who meet in Group D tonight.

Croatia beat Poland 1:0 and now will play Turkey. It will be a tough one for Croatia.

Germany is secure to play in quarter-finals against Portugal after beating co-host of Austria 1:0 in the final Group B game last night.

Germans are in the second spot in the group thanks to amazing 30-yard free kick from Michael Ballack. But he is too bold, saying:

We played against Portugal in the World Cup and from that point of view I’m looking forward to winning against them again.

I know several players from Portugal from Chelsea and other occasions, all of them are good individuals, they play well attacking and are great footballers. They also have Ronaldo, who has had a great season in England.

It will be a difficult game but both teams are capable of going far, they are probably favourites but that may favour our game.”

I am so-o-o cheering for Portugal. Plus, sexy people always win. Just look at and Michael Ballack. Oh, forgive me Cristiano, you are incomparable!

Switzerland has beat Portugal 2:0 and Czech Republic lost 2:3 in the game with Turkey.

68-year-old Czech coach Karel Bruckner said:

The third goal was an error and led to our collapse. To lose such a match is incredible, there was 15 minutes left when the first goal went in, they just kept coming until we lost. We buckled under the pressure, it is going to make many nights to get over this.”

For him this is the last time to coach. What a sad way to go.

The game itself was exciting as Czechs led 2:0, but in the end hot Turkish guys beat the distracted and too-soon-to-be-happy guys making it 3:2 and booking themselves a place at the quarter-finals.

I am pleased I have a team who don’t give up and play until the final whistle, we showed the world the sort of team we are,”

-beamed Turkish coach Terim, who is nicknamed ‘The Emperor’. The guy is in total blast!

My favorite football player’s team, and of course I’m talking about , gave chance to leave in style to Switzerland playing 0:2

Portugal is already qualified to quarter-finals after two consecutive victories over Turkey and Czech Republic. While that, the co-hosts Swiss have lost to the same two opponents and were hoping to exit the in style with at least one success.

Four Portugal players received yellow cards, including regular starter Paulo Ferreira.

Nani said:

Maybe things could have been different if the referee hadn’t performed the way he did…”

It was Portugal’s first loss to the Swiss since a 2-1 defeat in a friendly in 1982.

A day before, on June, 14th, Spain succeeded Sweden 1:0 and Russia won Greece 1:0 ,which means they’re off to continue

Russia played excellent, I mean unlike the previous game with Spain.

Guys could have scored more than just once.

Last night was one of the most intense as Netherlands scored 4:1 beating France. The Dutch seem to be in their best shape to dominate France and Italy, the reigning world champion and the previous one.

Within a week the young new boys made a statement they want to be champions of and for Holland it is more than realistic. The two real competitors are Spain and Portugal.

The last shot of the game was ruthless. From outside the penalty area by Wesley Sneijder did something really magical as the ball looped over the French goalkeeper and beneath the crossbar.

France now faces Italy in a desperate attempt for one of them to claw a way into Round 2. Italy played Romania 1:1 but it doesn’t make it any better for them. It was awfull.

Miss Provocateur

  • Stirring things up!

  • Did you ever provoke a fight with your guy? You love getting on his nerves because that makes him so obscure and funny – “cute” so we say. No, you’re not sadistic. Just the fact that after the make up, it feels so sweet to be the conqueror- to have the feeling of power! To feel the situation is under your control - to cause a fight and then to stop it. Isn’t it just so dramatically sweet to push the edges once in a while?

I love pushing his triggers. Some may think I’m an evil witch, but I’m simply making our relationship tempered, exciting, resolute, pert.

If you intentionally get into a fight with him – you are not sick in a head (and no, you’re not just a bitch). Scientists say that a healthy relationship is a relationship where there are arguments, and any argument needs a solution, right? That takes out our negative energy and brings us closer.

  • Breaking Rules

  • No matter how obvious it sounds most of the rules have been created long before us. By rules I mean systematized experience of previous generations, like handshakes and etiquette, and things like going for a social smoke. There is a rule that ladies go in first into any door except the elevator.

But rules are a need for the sense of stability around one. Society needs rules to forecast the effect of a cause, to have at least some confidence of the future. And this is what disappoints people. This is when they lose their confidence because things appear not the way they expected them to be. Those who were really dependent on expectations suffer from facing the world that is unpredictable, that the rules they believed in didn’t work at some turning point.

So they say that only fools learn through their own mistakes. Don’t you remember your mom telling you not to stick your tong out and put it against the metallic balcony railing when it’s freezing cold outside? Why did I skip my SPSS class with that macho from senior class? All of my friends were telling me he was a player and had nothing else in his head except for getting laid. Why do we learn things only after we go through them? This is what humans are like.

  • Sex Agenda

  • Inspired by “fuck” conversation last Saturday, which is a very delicate subject.

All of us, living in a fast growing temper of big cities are busy. We go to work, go to college full time, or have kids to take care of. There are plenty of things to do. When crazy week days are over we have yoga or tango classes, and shopping to do aside the chorus, french classes and getting a good sleep.

When is there time for sex?

The right answer would be - there is always time for sex. But the stress and busyness lead some couples to pencil their intimacy. It is logical, simple and hot to know that your schedule after works has a mark “Ryan 8 pm”. It is exciting to feel the anticipation, but on the other hand do we feel it is comfortable to set up our special moments with an important person for us on a basis of a scheduled task? It seems awkward to plan it, it is out of style, especially for femme-fatale like me, but even when sex is spontaneous, in every woman's head it is always planned. (wink!)
