N.E.R.D.’s Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo have worked with some of the biggest names in music industry — and they brought in some big guns for the remix and Hype Williams-directed video of ‘Everyone Nose’: Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and Pusha T of Clipse.

“I think Pusha put the meltdown on it,” Pharrell set on the set of the video when asked which rapper has the best verse on the track. “But, I mean, I like everybody’s verse because I think that Lupe killed it, Kanye killed it. Mine was more about style than how dope the rhyme was. It was really my melody that I liked more than anything — that’s why my vocal approach was a little different from what you would hear me do. I wanted to just do something different that would look different on me.”

The concept [is based on] old ’80s video-game graphics playing behind us while we’re rhyming. We just want to have fun with the project. In a day and age where the record industry is what it is, I’m lucky enough to be on a label that understands and they’ll just let us have fun.

We just came off the road from being in Europe for a long time, just doing festivals across the continent of Europe,” Williams said. “It’s just been incredible performing for 50-80,000 people. And when ‘Everyone Nose’ comes on, everyone just has their hands in the air. It’s just incredible. So this is kind of like a token of our appreciation for everybody that’s been supporting the project thus far.”

N.E.R.D. and two of the remix’s three guests (Kanye and Lupe) recently shared the stage during the first leg of Kanye’s recent Glow in the Dark Tour.

And here comes the good news for Britney. Though losing custody battle to get her children back, she stands all chances to win the Moon Man at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards on September, 7 as she’s one of the nominees for Best Female Music Video for ‘Piece of Me.’

It will be a hot battle as Spears will have to compete against Katy Perry for ‘I Kissed a Girl,’ Rihanna for ‘Take a Bow,’ Mariah Carey for ‘Touch My Body’ and Jordin Sparks for ‘No Air’ to get the statuette.

Britney’s vid was chose via on-line voting at vma.mtv.com. This is the 15th nomination for the VMA award in her career. Last month it was reported Britney could be also invited to perform at the show.

The MNT VMA show will be hosted by British comedian Russell Brand, and air live from LA.

The nominees for Best Male Music Video are T.I. for ‘What You Know,’ Usher for ‘Love in the Club,’ Lil Wayne for ‘Lollipop,’ Chris Brown for ‘With You’ and Flo-Rida for ‘Low.’

Enrique Iglesias is teaming up with New York based urban/bachata trio Aventura for a US tour. It is promising a hot mix of tropical breeze and Spanish sun splash on one stage. Ballads singing Aventura were winners of this year’s song of the year award at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Just an interesting fact: New demographics for labels is – prison

According to a recent Billboard story, record labels have picked up more than $5 million from federal, state and local prison systems since 2003. Meaning a million each year. Although that figure may seem small, Bob Paris of North Hollywood-based Pack Central says “I have dodged every conventional bullet that has hit most music retailers. I don’t have to worry about downloading, legal or illegally.”

Ne-Yo has revealed that he wrote a bunch of songs for Britney but then decided to have Pussycat Dolls Nicole Scherzinger sing them instead of Spears.

The R&B star told OK! Magazine he was asked to write several tracks for Brit’s album before her infamous meltdown last year. But according to Ne-Yo, he was tired of waiting for Britney Spears to show up in the studio and, eventually, he picked Nicole from PCD to sing those songs, besides, Brit’s people stopped returning his calls at all.

”We set up multiple sessions where she was supposed to actually come in and give her input on the songs, but she never showed up,” the singer told Britain’s Guardian newspaper.

In the meantime, Ne-Yo met Ms. Scherzinger who said she’d love the tracks for her solo project.

”And when news of that came out,” Ne-Yo added, “then Britney’s people call me! ‘Hey! What’s going on? Why’re you giving away Britney’s music?’ I’m like, ‘Wait! Until y’all cut me a cheque, I’m givin’ away my music. It may’ve been written with Britney in mind, but it’s not hers.”

Guess those could be great songs for Britney’s album and generally for her career. Now she is reported to be upset with Ne-Yo, but you know what Brit? He doesn’t care!

Agyness Deyn with her peroxide crop is this summer’s must-have haircut. Young British model was the face of the Burberry last season. But as it unveiled today for this new coming season the brand has chosen newcomer Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to front its autumn-winter campaign.

Deyn will continue as the face of Burberry’s perfume, The Beat.

The black-and-white images were shot in Kensington Gardens by Mario Testino, and featured Burberry’s latest must-have - the Lowry bag.

Christopher Bailey, creative director of Burberry, said:

The campaign is nostalgic, returning to our signature black and white and capturing the poetic melancholy and romance of the winter collections which were inspired by LS Lowry. Menswear is reinforced with an actor I admire enormously, Sam Riley, playing one half of the ‘Burberry couple’ alongside the fresh-faced British beauty that is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.”

Success will be all the sweeter for Huntington-Whiteley, 21, because she has made no bones about her dislike of Deyn in the past. Who cares. Even if Rosie was to replace Deyn, still Agyness is our favorite. She is currently releasing a single with the band Five O’Clock Heroes.

Both on and offstage at the T4 On The Beach bash, the Lancashire lovely caused a stir as well, by arriving with her new boyfriend, The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. The couple went public last month at the Songwriter Hall Of Fame Awards in New York.

By the way, what I found quite interesting is that Deyn’s real name is Laura Hollins, and she formerly worked behind the counter in a fish & chip shop.

Shakira has just become a LiveNation singer. Following steps of Maddona, U2 and Nickelback ‘My Hips Don’t Lie’ singer has signed a 10 year contract with LiveNation. The deal will encompass tours, recordings, sponsorship, and merchandise throughout the world. The whole package is worth between $70 million and $100 million.

Singer has flown to Paris, France to meet recently freed political prisoner Ingrid Betancourt.

Shakira was the first celebrity to note the rescue of 15 captives who were held by revolutionaries Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC) in her native Colombia, releasing a statement on the day Betancourt was freed:

Some say that politics are getting flashier. Well, I’d say the whole world got a little flashier… The event will take place in Denver on August, 25 and will be joined by a string of Hollywood stars who will also show up to support the Democratic presidential candidate.

The A – list celebrities include Ben Affleck, Scarlett Johansson, Forest Whitaker, Ed Norton and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Actors are all slated to come out to back Obama over the four-day event which will also see a party for Bono’s ONE campaign, according to the Washington Post.

Carla Bruni, the first lady of France, former top model and a singer, is desperately trying for a baby. She admits the time might be against her.

She is 40 years old and has one son of 7 years old - Aurélien, from a previous relationship. She now wants to have a child from her husband who is 53. Nicola Sarkozy has three sons from his first two marriages, as well as two stepdaughters.

When asked if she was pregnant in February this year following the rumors that she was, and that it was the reason for their marriage with Nicola, Carla answered:

No, unfortunately not. I wonder if my stomach’s got bigger, because everyone is asking me the same question. I’m not pregnant and I regret it because I love it when I am.”

As If Nothing Happened is the name of her 42 minutes new album. Mrs Bruni-Sarkozy has been splashed over countless magazine covers in recent weeks, and she will appear on prime-time French television news on Friday, the night of her album’s official release.

Some lyrics in her song ‘In Ta Tienne’ ( Yours) clearly refer to Monsieur Sarkozy and their romance. She sings “Let them curse me, I don’t give a damn. I couldn’t care less, I take all the blame I who made men dance/I give myself to you entirely.”

Carla also sings she is ‘still a child, despite my 40 years, despite my 30 lovers‘.
