Miami, Florida has just hosted its Miami Fashion Week. The runways featured 2009 swimwear collections from Belusso, Custo Barcelona, Diesel, Tommy Bahama, Red Carter, Pistol Panties and … just to name a few.

, the creative talent behind ’s rambunctious designs, made his own statement in killer leopard skin shoes that so very few men can get away with wearing. Audigier has had a pulsating, so in right now, affect on fashion.

Audigier and Hardy began when Audigier, who was intrigued by tattoo artistry, came across Hardy’s name while performing a Google search.

He learned that Hardy was widely considered by many as the “godfather” of tattoos.

The fourth annual fashion week in Miami, sponsored by Mercedes Benz, reportedly drew over 12,000 to its venue in South Beach on the grounds of the historic Raleigh hotel.

Next stop is New York Fashion Week September 5th-12th.

Ready to tie the knot? Waiting for the Big Day? Well, wedding bells sound much better when you’re wearing a fantastic, and what is more important, a fashionable wedding dress. Here are a few key looks from designers.

According to designers, Fall 2008 wedding dress trends are leaning towards Parisian-inspired looks, most notably the classic black wedding dress that is becoming a popular choice in Europe. As for the States, there are also hints of Marie Antoinette-inspired gowns, larger-than-life ruffles, and blue and metallic creations that offer a fresh take on the classic white wedding.

All-black wedding dress

This is the perfect choice wedding dress style for the bride who wants to try something different. So far, it’s really popular in Europe and it’s possible American brides might love the idea too. One of the designers to stick to black wedding dresses is Max Chaoul.

Black sashes and belts

Instead of traditional all-white wedding gown, Fall 2008 collections bring together black sashes and belts around the waist. Such fashion designers like Alfred Angelo add this modern and sophisticated touch to the traditional dress, even if only on the runway.

Blue and silver metallic dresses

Reem Acra’s collection for Fall 2008 features a whole lineup of pastel-blue colored dresses accented with silver and metallic threads. The fairytale-like gowns are the epitome of luxury with their rich satin, lace, and chiffon accents and mermaid-style cuts.

Toga-style dresses

The toga dress is a top trend for women’s dresses in 2008, and it’s also showing up in the bridal department. The toga dress is designed with a unique, flowing cut that is less fitted around the waist and hips. The Grecian-inspired look is a romantic touch for any wedding, and designers such as Wtoo Brides and Demetrios featured this goddess look in the Fall 2008 wedding gown collections.

Crystal brocades

Brocade embellishments are always a popular choice for wedding dresses, and the Fall 2008 collections featured many dresses with crystal and silver embellishments on the simple white dress. Piccione’s collection made the most of this trend with beautiful bustier and train detailing.

Jewel toned wedding dresses

Jewel tones are back for Fall 2008 in vibrant red, green, and even yellow colors. Jewel toned wedding dresses offer a luxurious touch to any wedding, and are a bold, modern twist on the traditional white lace or chiffon gowns.

So it’s obvious there are plenty of ways to update your Fall 2008 wedding with the latest styles. Add a new touch of Parisian, Greek, or modern romance to your outfit and become the most stylish bride of the year.

I know it’s still summer but we guess it’s high time we thought about autumn make-up tendencies and got ready for the most romantic season ever. I wanna be ready for the fall season to begin, wanna keep up with the fashion, even my gay friend wants to be ready to break his boyfriends’ hearts this fall. Oh, he’s so funny. Anyways, these are things you need to know about fall 2008 make up trends.

First of all, I can’t say you will surely wear this or that, it’s just that it’s expected that this or that trend will be popular in fall. Overall, it is safe to say that the overall look for fall 2008 will be a very natural one.

Earthy Eyeshadow Tones

During fall of 2008, everyone is expected to be wearing earthy tones when it comes to their eye shadows. This fall eye shadow colors include natural shades of green, brown and soft gray. Anything that can be found in the environment is what will be found on your face, for the most part. However, you will probably want to avoid shades of blue, which may be too bright for the season. It is also probably a good idea to avoid matching your scenery during fall 2008. Avoid using red, orange and yellow shades. But an eye shadow duo of gold and bronze can be used on the inner and outer lid, respectively.

Eyeliner

Very thin, fine lines of eyeliner will be worn during fall 2008. The important thing to keep in mind during this time of year is that you do not overdo it with the eyeliner. Using a lighter shade of eyeliner, such as a brown or gray, can really help you enhance your eyes, without going for an overly dramatic appearance. You probably won’t see too much black, blue or any other shade of eyeliner during this time.

Mascara

Don’t you forget about mascara. Christopher Del Castillo, a Senior makeup artist with MAC, says mascara is this fall must-have thing.

Cheeks and blush

Blush is not something you will want to forget about this fall. It’s like a color in between summer tan and winter skin tones. Don’t forget about drawing attention to your cheeks by using blush, you will want to stick to using light, natural and warm tones.

Light Shades of Lipstick

Bright lipstick shades like dark brown, red and pink won’t be very common during fall of 2008. Instead, lighter and more natural shades of brown, pink and peach will be worn. The whole idea with lips, as well as with the rest of our make up this fall, is to keep them very natural.

You have time to think about it all but my advice is get your friends and go shopping for this fall makeup stuff! Time is running so fast!

Summer is hot and being out during the day becomes a new goal. You have to make sure you are wearing the best dresses made of the lightest fabrics like chiffon and silk.

High street fashion this year includes tea dresses and all the high street shops make sure to have a range for you to pick from. It has been on almost every fashion ready-to-wear runway. A tea dress is safe! Flowery and feminine, it is chic, it takes you to a night out right from the office. Well, just a change of shoes is required.

Paisley chiffon one-shoulder strap dress $1600

Unleash the little girl in you, or high-society lady, taking afternoon tea on the lawn. Enter cucumber sandwiches and a pot of Earl Grey!”

-says Hilary Alexander in the Telegraph’s article “Anyone for Tea Dress?”

David Szeto red leopard dress $295

It’s a feminine, girly and floaty dress. You will look at home for high tea at the Ritz Hotel, or at a garden party. The dress is so called due to its aptness for being worn to afternoon tea or ladies’ lunches. Often brightly colored, it is a cute and feminine dress that can be worn to brunch, picnic, high-tea, a summer fete or bridal shower. Its elegance lies in the vintage styling and delicate prints.

Tea dresses 2008-style mean shorter-lengths and accentuated waists, or not so accentuated, like ’s style. Tea dresses became particularly popular with socialites in the UK, worn for the traditional “High Tea.” According to the article “It’s Time for Tea” by Dawn Copeman, on timetravel-britain.com; this tradition was first started in 1841 by Anna Maria Stanhope, the seventh Duchess of Bedford. Up until the early 20th century, lunch was served at noon and dinner was at 8 or 9pm, so there was a desperate craving for calories around 4 or 5pm in the afternoon.

for Top Shop features a Daisy Print Tea Dress, with the supermodel’s favorite flower and a girly Peter-Pan collar. Priced at £60, this modern take on a 40s classic works just as well for summer and fall.

  • Breaking Rules

  • No matter how obvious it sounds most of the rules have been created long before us. By rules I mean systematized experience of previous generations, like handshakes and etiquette, and things like going for a social smoke. There is a rule that ladies go in first into any door except the elevator.

But rules are a need for the sense of stability around one. Society needs rules to forecast the effect of a cause, to have at least some confidence of the future. And this is what disappoints people. This is when they lose their confidence because things appear not the way they expected them to be. Those who were really dependent on expectations suffer from facing the world that is unpredictable, that the rules they believed in didn’t work at some turning point.

So they say that only fools learn through their own mistakes. Don’t you remember your mom telling you not to stick your tong out and put it against the metallic balcony railing when it’s freezing cold outside? Why did I skip my SPSS class with that macho from senior class? All of my friends were telling me he was a player and had nothing else in his head except for getting laid. Why do we learn things only after we go through them? This is what humans are like.

  • Sex Agenda

  • Inspired by “fuck” conversation last Saturday, which is a very delicate subject.

All of us, living in a fast growing temper of big cities are busy. We go to work, go to college full time, or have kids to take care of. There are plenty of things to do. When crazy week days are over we have yoga or tango classes, and shopping to do aside the chorus, french classes and getting a good sleep.

When is there time for sex?

The right answer would be - there is always time for sex. But the stress and busyness lead some couples to pencil their intimacy. It is logical, simple and hot to know that your schedule after works has a mark “Ryan 8 pm”. It is exciting to feel the anticipation, but on the other hand do we feel it is comfortable to set up our special moments with an important person for us on a basis of a scheduled task? It seems awkward to plan it, it is out of style, especially for femme-fatale like me, but even when sex is spontaneous, in every woman's head it is always planned. (wink!)

I wanted to go to the park and have a cup of espresso at the patio outside the café on the bridge.

I asked him to wait for me and he walked me carrying the umbrella. I hate it cause when he does it he always sings “Under my umbrella, ella-ella-ella…” Rihanna’s song, you know.
